Service Conditions

These conditions set out how Chester Linen Presshouse provides laundry, ironing, and light textile care in Chester. By placing an order, submitting a form, or requesting collection, you agree to these terms.

1. Scope of service

We handle household clothing, bed and bath linen, and similar textiles. Specialist or high-risk items may be declined or processed only with written confirmation after discussing risks.

2. Orders, collection, and delivery

Orders are confirmed by email. Collection and delivery windows are arranged according to availability. If access is delayed or no one is present to receive items, a new time may be scheduled.

3. Preparation of items

Customers should empty pockets, close zips, and separate delicate articles. Please include notes for unusual fabrics or known sensitivities. We rely on care labels as a baseline method.

4. Pricing and payment

Current prices are provided on request or displayed on the site. Charges are confirmed before collection when possible. Payment is due upon completion via card or bank transfer. Digital receipts are issued for records.

5. Turnaround

Typical turnaround is two to three days depending on volume and fabric type. During peak times or adverse weather, schedules may shift. We aim to communicate changes promptly.

6. Handling

We use measured detergents and appropriate temperatures. Some items may be air-dried or pressed at reduced heat. If an item appears fragile or unstable, we may pause processing and request instructions.

7. Condition of items

Colour migration, shrinkage, and fibre distortion can result from prior home washing, unstable dyes, or manufacturer defects. Where a processing error is evident, we will review the case and consider a reasonable remedy consistent with industry practice.

8. Missing or damaged items

Counts are kept for incoming batches and returns. Report any concerns within 48 hours of delivery so we can check logs and investigate.

9. Packaging and storage

Where possible we minimise plastic use and provide paper wrapping or reusable bags. Once delivered, customers should store items in a dry, ventilated place to avoid odours and creasing.

10. Customer data

Personal data is processed as described in Data & Care. We keep concise records of orders and correspondence to support service quality and legal obligations.

11. Changes to terms

We may revise these conditions to reflect operational or legal changes. The latest version applies to new orders as soon as it is published.
